Happy Valentine’s Day

Calligraphy is a portrait of the heart.  Chinese proverb

For those of you who enjoy Valentine’s Day as much as I do, here is a selection of some of my favorite vintage, handmade, and commercially produced cards from friends and family, plus a few of my own.  Remember the people you love on Valentine’s Day.  A hand written message from the heart, written on a scrap of paper will do.

A couple of my favorite cards are Alison’s Valentine tea bags folded into origami packages and a tiny mitten wrapped in paper with the following message from Deb: “I have no idea why a mitten for Valentine’s Day – but then again, why a stocking for Christmas?”
